Is shipping EU friendly?

Yes, we’re planning to ship all pledges from the United Kingdom, so backers in the EU will have no import tax to pay. If Brexit makes a mess of everything, we will ship to EU backers from inside the EU - but we are aiming to ship before the UK (supposedly) leaves the EU.

Is one set of wooden coins enough to play the game?

Yes, one set is all you need for Villagers. Some people want several sets of coins to use with other games they own.

The wooden coins are an optional extra. The base game comes with enough cardboard coins to play the game. The number of coins in the base game and the Coin Box will be the same.

I'm a retailer. How do I get retail copies of Villagers?

If you’re in Europe, you can make a £1 Shopkeeper pledge, send us a message here, and we’ll give you all the info. Minimum order is 6 units, and if you order 12, we’ll give you free shipping and a free store copy.

If you’re outside Europe, we apologise. The shipping costs make it really uneconomical for everyone concerned. However, Villagers will be available from all good hobby games distributors on release. If your regular distributor can supply our Removable Sticker Set for Gloomhaven, they will be able to supply Villagers. Villagers expansion packs and wooden Coin Boxes will also be available to you.

Will Villagers be translated into other languages?

Yes. After the English rules and cards are 100% complete, we will provide PDF translations of them on our website, and on the Villagers BGG page. This will happen some time after the campaign ends.

It is likely that other publishers will release versions of Villagers in various languages. We will release information as soon as anything is confirmed.

Is it possible to play Villagers with 6 players? Will there be a 6 player expansion?

Yes, it is possible to play Villagers with 6 players, but no, we won’t release an official expansion for it.

The game was originally intended to work with 6, and there are enough villager cards to do it. But, we think it takes a little bit too long with this many players, and it takes up a LOT of room on the table. For these reasons, we’re comfortable to recommend the game at 5 players, but not at 6.

If you insist on playing with 6, you can print out an extra Founders card from the Print & Play files and you’re good to go.

Will there be a pledge manager?

Yes. We are using BackerKit. This means you will be able to adjust your pledge later to add extra copies of the game and Coin Boxes as you see fit.

If you missed the Kickstarter campaign, you will be able to make a late pledge when the pledge manager opens.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
